Software Engineering Leader
Nike · Beaverton, OR
I lead a team of five engineers at Nike, where we keep bots away from our biggest product launches. At peak we're up against as many as 12 billion attempts a month across every major market. Before Nike I worked at eBay, Magento, and CBS Interactive, mostly on the backend infrastructure behind e-commerce and media platforms.
These days my work splits pretty evenly between engineering and people. I still own architecture and roadmap decisions, but I spend just as much time mentoring my team and working with partners across security, product, and the regional business groups we support. I studied Computer Science and Business Information Systems at Oregon State, and that mix taught me to look at the business problem before the technical one.
On the Side
Building a game in Godot
Learning Godot and GDScript from scratch to build a 2D game. I'm 370+ commits and around 65k lines in, working test-first on feature branches to keep an AI-assisted build honest over the long haul.
Akamai Property Management System
A system I built to manage Akamai CDN properties as versioned JSON in GitHub. Changes go through pull-request review and promote from staging to production, instead of hand-editing in a portal with no diff or peer review.
